About the Foundation
A foundation built in honor of Thomas LaFever. Dedicated to compassion, safety, and saving lives.
Remembering Thomas
Thomas Ross LaFever II (July 3, 2007 – October 3, 2024)
“What a wonderful, amazing, caring, and kind-hearted boy he was. He had a light in him, a love for life and people, that touched everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.” – Mom
On September 30, 2024, Thomas experienced a tragic motorcycle accident during Spirit Week. Though EMTs worked for 15 minutes to restore his heartbeat, the trauma was irreversible. On October 3, he passed away.
But Thomas’s story didn’t end there. He became an organ donor, giving a kidney to a 48-year-old man, another kidney to a 30-year-old woman, and restoring sight to someone who had lived in darkness. His final gifts became a new legacy.
From a young age, Thomas showed promise as a certified welder, a natural maker and doer. His love of building, helping others, and living hands-on is now at the heart of what we do.
